Abstract

The increase in Bali's HDI in 2024 occurred in all dimensions, including longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and decent living standards. The decent living standard dimension experienced the largest increase.

In the longevity and healthy living dimension, babies born in 2024 have a life expectancy of 75.10 years, an increase of 0.22 years compared to those born in 2023. The data source for life expectancy at birth uses the results of the Long Form SP2020 (LF SP2020).

In the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling (HLS) of the population aged 7 years and over in 2024 is 13.62 years, an increase of 0.04 years compared to 2023. Meanwhile, the average length of schooling (RLS) of the population aged 25 years and over is 9.54 years, an increase of 0.09 years compared to 2023. The HLS and RLS data sources use the results of the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) for the March period.

The dimension of a decent standard of living measured based on the average real expenditure per capita per year (adjusted) increased by 538 thousand rupiah compared to 2023. The data source for real expenditure per capita uses the results of the March Susenas.

In 2024, the achievement of human development status in Gianyar Regency changed from "high" to "very high".
