Export
In April 2023, the value of exports of goods from the Province of Bali to foreign countries was recorded to have decreased by 15.50 percent on a month to month (m-t-m) basis, from US$ 51,884,123 in March 2023 to US$ 43,844,392 in April 2023. When compared to April 2022 year on year (y-o-y), Bali's export value in April 2023 was recorded to have fallen 27.72 percent.
Of the top 5 export destinations for Bali in April 2023, the value of exports to Japan was recorded to have decreased by 42.65 percent and was the deepest decline (m-t-m). This decrease was mainly due to a decrease in exports of fish, crustacean and mollusk products (HS 03).
The cumulative export value in the January-April 2023 period was recorded at US$ 187,281,657, down 7.16 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
Import
In line with exports, the import performance of the Province of Bali in April 2023 also showed a decline. The import value of Bali Province goods from abroad in April 2023 was recorded at US$ 9,997,526, down 4.42 percent compared to March 2023 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US$ 10,459,851. On a year-on-year basis, the import value of the Province of Bali in April 2023 was recorded to have increased by 195.64 percent.
Of the top 5 countries of origin for imports in April 2023, the value of imports from China was recorded to have decreased the most on a month-to-month basis, namely by 24.25 percent, which was mainly caused by a decrease in imports of machine and electrical equipment products and their parts (HS 85).
Cumulatively, the value of imports in the January-April 2023 period was recorded at US$ 36,777,322, up 206.21 percent compared to the previous year's period.
