In September 2017 in Singaraja City recorded deflation of 0.78 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 136.19. The calendar year inflation rate of 0.81 percent. Year-on-year inflation rate (YoY) of 1.91 percent.
Deflation was indicated by the drop in index in the foodstuff category by 3.75 percent.
The recorded commodities contributed to deflation in September 2017, among others: cayenne pepper, chicken meat, onion, chicken eggs, tuna / ambu-ambu, beans, cooking oil, green mustard greens, bean sprouts, bananas, cucumber , garlic and fresh anchovy.
Of 82 cities, 32 cities recorded deflation and 50 cities experienced inflation. The highest deflation was recorded in Manado (North Sulawesi) at 1.04 percent and the lowest in Tembilahan (Riau) by 0.01 percent. The highest inflation was recorded in Tual (Maluku) at 1.59 percent and the lowest inflation in Depok (West Java) and Mamuju (West Sulawesi) were 0.01 percent.
If sorted from the highest deflation, Singaraja ranks third of 32 cities experiencing deflation.
