Abstract

In June 2017 Singaraja experienced deflation of 0.64 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 136.45. The inflation rate for calendar year (January - June) 2017 is 1.00 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2017 to June 2016) is 3.90 percent.
Deflation was more dominantly affected by the index decline in the foodstuff category by 3.29 percent. While the other six groups experienced inflation, namely: housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.54 percent; Clothing group 0.46 percent; Transportation, communication and financial services group 0.43 percent; Food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group 0.38 percent; Education, recreation and sports group 0.07 percent and health group 0.06 percent.
