Abstract

  • In March 2023, the level of inequality in population spending in the Province of Bali as measured using the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.362. This condition has not changed compared to the previous period in September 2022.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2023 was recorded at 0.367. This achievement decreased by 0.004 points when compared to conditions in March 2022 and September 2022 which were recorded at 0.371.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2023 was recorded at 0.290. This achievement increased by 0.008 points when compared to conditions in September 2022 which were recorded at 0.282 and decreased by 0.004 points when compared to conditions in March 2022 which were recorded at 0.294.
  • Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of expenditure in Bali Province in March 2023 for the bottom 40 percent group was recorded at 18.70 percent. This means that the expenditure of the population in the Province of Bali in March 2023 is in the low level of inequality category. If broken down by region, in urban areas it was recorded at 18.50 percent, which means it belongs to the low inequality category. Likewise for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 21.95 percent, which also means that it belongs to the low inequality category.
