Bali Province Population Expenditure Inequality Level March 2024

Abstract

In March 2024, the level of population expenditure inequality in Bali Province as measured using the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.361. This figure decreased by 0.001 points when compared to the conditions in March 2023 and September 2022 which were recorded at 0.362.

The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.364. This achievement decreased by 0.003 points when compared to conditions in March 2023 which were recorded at 0.367 and decreased by 0.007 points when compared to conditions in September 2022 which were recorded at 0.371.

The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.287. This achievement decreased by 0.003 points when compared to conditions in March 2023 which were recorded at 0.290 and increased by 0.005 points when compared to conditions in September 2022 which were recorded at 0.282.

Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of population expenditure in Bali Province in March 2024 for the bottom 40 percent group was recorded at 18.20 percent. This means that population expenditure in Bali Province in March 2024 will be in the low inequality level category. If we look at the area of residence, in urban areas it was recorded at 17.98 percent and in rural areas it was recorded at 21.34 percent. Both show that inequality in both regions is low inequality.
