Bali Population Expenditure Inequality Rate, March 2022

Abstract

In March 2022, the level of inequality in Balinese spending as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.363. This figure decreased by 0.012 points when compared to conditions in September 2021 which was recorded at 0.375 and decreased by 0.015 points compared to conditions in March 2021 which was recorded at 0.378.

Bali's Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.371. This achievement decreased by 0.008 points compared to conditions in September 2021 which was recorded at 0.379 and decreased by 0.016 points compared to conditions in March 2021 which was recorded at 0.387.

Bali's Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.294. This achievement decreased by 0.008 points compared to conditions in September 2021 which was recorded at 0.302 and decreased by 0.007 points compared to conditions in March 2021 which was recorded at 0.301.

Based on the World Bank's inequality measure, Bali's expenditure distribution in March 2022 for the bottom 40 percent was recorded at 18.82 percent. This means that the expenditure of the Balinese population in March 2022 is in the category of low inequality level. If broken down by region, in urban areas it was recorded at 18.39 percent, which means that it belongs to the category of low inequality. Likewise for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 21.73 percent, which also means that it belongs to the category of low inequality.
