Abstract
The economic conditions of the Balinese in meeting their consumption needs in the fourth quarter of 2019 were generally perceived to be improved compared to the previous quarter. This situation is reflected in the magnitude of the Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) recorded at 112.34 (values above 100).
The level of consumer comfort in the fourth quarter of 2019 was recorded to increase by 0.43 points from the achievements of the previous quarter which was recorded at 111.91.
The achievements of ITK Bali in the fourth quarter of 2019 are supported by the achievements of the three constituent components which are all at a "comfortable" level (values above 100). The "Current Income" component reached an index of 110.11, the "Consumption Volume" component recorded an index of 109.10 and the "Inflation Effect" component registered an index of 119.07.
Imagining the coming period (quarter I 2020), Balinese people perceive that their economic conditions in the effort to fulfill their consumption are still in the comfort zone. Future ITKs are recorded at 107.47.
The future income level is expected to be at the level of 119.99. Plans to buy durable goods are expected to be pessimistic with an index of 85.53.
