Abstract

The percentage of poor people in Bali in September 2019 was recorded at 3.61 percent, down as deep as -0.18 percentage points compared to the position in March 2019.


The number of poor people in Bali in September 2019 was recorded around 156.91 thousand people. This number indicates a decrease of around 6.9 thousand people compared to the number of poor people in March 2019 which recorded around 163.85 thousand people.


During the period March - September 2019, the percentage of poor people in urban and rural areas, simultaneously recorded a decline. The percentage of poor people in urban areas decreased from 3.29 percent in March 2019 to 3.04 percent in September 2019. The percentage of poor people in rural areas also decreased from 4.88 percent in March 2019 to 4.86 percent in September 2019.


The Disability Poverty Line rose by around 3.07 percent, from Rp 400,624 per capita per month in March 2019 to Rp 412,906 per capita per month in September 2019.


Poverty Depth (P1) has decreased to -0.031 percentage points, while the Poverty Severity Index (P2) has decreased to -0.011 percentage points.

Inequality of income in Bali as illustrated by the Gini ratio slightly increased from 0.366 in March 2019 to 0.370 in September 2019. The increase in the gini ratio in the September 2019 period was around 0.004 percentage points from the March 2019 period
