Development of Farmer Exchange Rates in Bali Province October 2019

Abstract

Bali Province Farmer Exchange Rate Index (NTP) in October 2019 was recorded down as deep as -0.46 percent, from 104.14 in September 2019, to 103.66. In terms of the index received by farmers (It) was recorded down as deep as -0.28 percent while the index paid by farmers (Ib) recorded an increase as high as 0.18 percent.


Judging by the subsector, the decline in the NTP index in October 2019 was recorded in two subsectors, namely in the smallholder estate crops sub-sector as deep as -2.03 percent, followed by the livestock subsector -0.97 percent. While the food crops subsector increased as high as 0.95 percent, followed by the fisheries and horticulture sub-sector, each by 0.48 percent and 0.25 percent.


In calculating the rural consumer price (inflation) index, in October 2019, the Province of Bali recorded inflation as high as 0.19 percent, in line with national conditions that recorded rural inflation as high as 0.05 percent.


From 33 provinces observing the calculation of the household consumption index of farmers (rural) in October 2019, there were 18 provinces experiencing deflation and 15 provinces recorded experiencing inflation. The deepest deflation was recorded in Maluku Province (-0.78 percent) and the shallowest in North Sumatra (-0.01 percent). Meanwhile, the highest inflation was recorded in North Sulawesi (2.35 percent) and the lowest in East Java Province (0.04 percent).
