Development of Farmer Exchange Rates July 2019 Bali Province

Abstract

The Farmers Exchange Rate Index (NTP) of Bali Province in July 2019 was recorded to increase by 1.27 percent, from 103.58 in June 2019, to 104.89. In terms of the index received by farmers (It) recorded a rise as high as 1.86 percent while the index paid by farmers (Ib) was recorded to experience a lower increase, namely 0.58 percent.

 

According to its sub-sector, the increase in the NTP index in July 2019 was recorded in four sub-sectors, with the highest increase recorded in the horticulture sub-sector, by 2.48 percent, followed by the livestock sub-sector 1.86 percent, food subsector 0.58 percent and fisheries sub-sector by 0 , 49 percent. Meanwhile, the smallholder plantation subsector was the only sub-sector that experienced a decline in the NTP index, which was as deep as -0.28 percent.

 

In calculating the consumer price index (inflation) in rural areas, in July 2019, Bali Province recorded inflation as high as 0.73 percent, in line with national conditions which recorded experiencing rural inflation as high as 0.55 percent.

 

Of the 33 observing provinces, the calculation of the household (rural) household consumption index in July 2019, there were 18 provinces experiencing inflation and 15 provinces recorded experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Bengkulu Province, at 1.38 percent, and the lowest was recorded in West Papua Province at 0.12 percent. Meanwhile, the shallow deflation was recorded in the East Nusa Tenggara Province of -0.003 percent, while the deepest was recorded in Gorontalo Province reaching -2.08 percent
