Abstract

In December 2018 the city of Singaraja recorded inflation of 0.84 percent with the Consumer Price Index (2012 CPI = 100) of 142.28. The inflation rate for the calendar year (January - December 2018) is recorded at 1.88 percent, equal to the year-on-year inflation rate (December 2018 to December 2017 or YoY) of 1.88 percent.

Inflation (m to m) is indicated by an increase in the index in five expenditure groups, namely group I (foodstuffs) by 2.97 percent; group IV (clothing) by 0.38 percent; group V (health) by 0.23 percent; group VI (education, recreation, and sports) was also 0.23 percent and group VII (transportation, communication and financial services) of 0.08 percent. While the group recorded a decline in index or deflation was group II (processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco) by 0.06 percent and group III (housing, water, electricity and fuel) by 0.01 percent.

Commodities recorded as contributing or contributing to inflation in December 2018 include: cayenne pepper, shallots, broiler meat, beans, instant dry noodles, rice, cucumber, mustard greens, snacks / snacks, flour, carrots, laptops / notebooks, soy sauce, and toothpaste.
