Abstract

In February 2018 the city of Denpasar recorded inflation of 0.65 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI 2012 = 100) of 129.21. The calendar year inflation rate stood at 1.60 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (YoY) was 3.10 percent.

Inflation was indicated by rising indexes in six expenditure categories, namely: foodstuffs by 1.75 percent; food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.77 percent; transport, communication and financial services group by 0.46 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.39 percent; health group by 0.30 percent; as well as the education, recreation and sports group by 0.03 percent. While the group that experienced a decrease in index / deflation was the clothing group by 0.60 percent.
