BPS Strengthens Statistical Collaboration with OIC Member States
October 6, 2026 | Other Activities
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) continues to strengthen Indonesia’s role in the development of statistics at the international level through its participation in the 15th Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom), held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on September 29–30, 2026.
At the forum, which brought together national statistical offices from member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), BPS shared its experiences in transforming Indonesia’s statistical system while expanding cooperation with various statistical agencies and international institutions.
Through collaboration and the exchange of best practices, BPS continues to promote the development of high-quality, integrated, and internationally standardized data as a vital foundation for supporting well-targeted development policies.
Because statistics are not just about numbers, but about how data can serve as the foundation for development and the well-being of society.
