Abstract

In September 2024, the expenditure inequality level of the population in Bali Province, as measured by the Gini Ratio, was recorded at 0.348. This figure decreased by 0.013 points compared to March 2024, which was recorded at 0.361, and decreased by 0.014 points compared to March 2023, which was recorded at 0.362.
The urban Gini Ratio in September 2024 was recorded at 0.352. This achievement decreased by 0.012 points compared to March 2024, which was recorded at 0.364, and decreased by 0.015 points compared to March 2023, which was recorded at 0.367.
The rural Gini Ratio in September 2024 was recorded at 0.285. This achievement decreased by 0.002 points compared to March 2024, which was recorded at 0.287, and decreased by 0.005 points compared to March 2023, which was recorded at 0.290.
Based on the World Bank's inequality measures, the expenditure distribution of the population in Bali Province for the bottom 40 percent group in September 2024 was recorded at 18.88 percent. This indicates that the level of expenditure inequality among the population in Bali Province falls into the low inequality category.
The expenditure distribution in urban areas for the bottom 40 percent group was recorded at 19.15 percent, while in rural areas, it was recorded at 20.80 percent. This indicates that the level of expenditure inequality in both areas falls into the low inequality category.
