Abstract

In October 2024, year on year (y-on-y), Bali Province experienced inflation of 2.51 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2022=100) of 107.01. The highest annual inflation was recorded in Denpasar City at 2.96 percent with a CPI of 107.75, while the lowest inflation was recorded in Singaraja at 1.71 percent with a CPI of 106.50.

Annual inflation (y-on-y) occurred due to the increase in prices of observed commodities as indicated by the increase in the CPI in ten expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group rose by 3.98 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.64 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.41 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.77 percent; health group at 1.54 percent; transportation group at 0.94 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.39 percent; education group of 2.99 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.56 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.43 percent. Meanwhile, one group recorded a decline in the index, namely the information, communication and financial services group, which fell by 0.29 percent.

On a monthly basis (month to month / m-t-m), Bali Province recorded inflation of 0.07 percent. Meanwhile, year to date (y-to-d), inflation was recorded at 1.53 percent.
