EXPORT
In May 2024, the value of Bali Province's exports of goods abroad was recorded to increase by 23.44 percent month to month (m-to-m), from US$ 47,666,834 in April 2024 to US$ 58,838,969 in May 2024. When compared with May 2023 or year on year (y-on-y), Bali's export value in May 2024 was recorded to have increased by 18.46 percent.
Of the top 5 export destination countries for Bali in May 2024, the value of exports to Hong Kong was recorded to have increased by 270.17 percent (m-to-m). This increase was mainly due to the increase in exports of precious metal products and jewelry/gems (HS 71).
The cumulative export value in the January-May 2024 period was recorded at US$ 277,040,968, an increase of 16.97 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
IMPORT
In line with exports, Bali Province's import performance in May 2024 showed an increase. The value of Bali Province imports of goods from abroad in May 2024 was recorded at US$ 15,321,977, an increase of 22.87 percent compared to April 2024 (m-to-m) which was recorded at US$ 12,469,825. On a year-on-year (y-on-y) basis, the import value of Bali Province in May 2024 was recorded to have increased by 28.35 percent.
Of the top 5 countries of import origin in May 2024, the value of imports from Thailand recorded the highest increase month to month (m-to-m), namely 487.81 percent, which was mainly caused by the increase in imports of cereal products (HS 10).
Cumulatively, the import value in the January-May 2024 period was recorded at US$ 69,155,912, an increase of 41.96 percent compared to the previous year's period.
