Economic Growth of Bali Province Qtr II-2023

Abstract

Bali's total economy in the second quarter of 2023 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) was recorded at IDR 68.68 trillion or if measured at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010, Bali's GRDP was recorded at IDR 40 .09 trillion.

Bali's economy during the second quarter of 2023 grew by 6.96 percent compared to the results of the first quarter of 2023 (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was recorded by Category O Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security Business Fields of 40.84 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component grew by 89.20 percent.

When compared to the same period the previous year (y-on-y), Bali's economy in the second quarter of 2023 grew by 5.60 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was recorded in Category H of the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field of 26.95 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Foreign Export Component was able to grow by 206.35 percent. If we add up growth from the first quarter of 2023 to the second quarter of 2023, Bali's economy in semester I-2023 grew by 5.83 percent (c-to-c).

Bali's economic structure from the production side, in quarter II-2023 was still dominated by Category I Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Business Fields which contributed 19.54 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the largest contribution was recorded in the Household Consumption Component, namely 52.58 percent.
