In October 2021, Singaraja City was recorded to experience inflation as high as 0.08 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2018 = 100) of 106.79. The inflation rate for the calendar year October 2021 is as high as 0.56 percent. Meanwhile, the year-on-year inflation rate (October 2021 against October 2020 or YoY) recorded as high as 2.02 percent
Five expenditure groups recorded inflation (m to m), namely group IV (equipment, equipment, and routine household maintenance) as high as 1.17 percent; group XI (personal care and other services) as high as 0.58 percent; group VIII (recreation, sports, and culture) as high as 0.42 percent; group II (clothing and footwear) and group VI (transportation) were as high as 0.04 percent each. Meanwhile, three other expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely group I (food, beverages, and tobacco) of 0.15 percent; group VII (information, communication, and financial services) as deep as 0.07 percent; and group III (housing, water, electricity, and household fuel) as deep as 0.03 percent. The other three expenditure groups did not experience a change in the index or were stagnant, namely; group V (health); group IX (education); and group X (providing food and drinks/restaurants).
Commodities that contributed to inflation in October 2021 include red chilies, canang sari, cooking oil, rice, cayenne pepper, wafers, broiler meat, young jackfruit, bottled water, toothpaste, oranges, potatoes, mustard greens, chickpeas. , liquid soap/dishwashing, white cigarettes, hair oil and hand body lotion.
Of the 90 CPI cities, 68 cities experienced inflation and 22 cities experienced deflation. If sorted from the highest inflation, then Singaraja ranks 50th out of 68 cities experiencing inflation.
