Development of Singaraja City Consumer Price Index/Inflation July 2021

Abstract

In July 2021, Singaraja City was recorded as experiencing inflation as high as 0.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2018=100) of 107.25. The inflation rate for the calendar year July 2021 is as high as 0.99 percent. Meanwhile, the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2021 versus July 2020 or YoY) was recorded as high as 2.08 percent.

Five expenditure groups recorded inflation (m to m), namely group I (food, beverages, and tobacco) as high as 0.72 percent; group VIII (recreation, sports, and culture) as high as 0.29 percent; group VII (information, communication, and financial services) as high as 0.22 percent; group VI (transportation) is as high as 0.09 percent and group IX (education) is as high as 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, two other expenditure groups recorded deflation, namely group IV (equipment, equipment, and routine household maintenance) at 1.07 percent and group XI (personal care and other services) at 0.12 percent. The other four expenditure groups recorded no change in index or stagnant, namely group II (clothing and footwear; group III (housing, water, electricity, and household fuel); group V (health); and group X (providing food and beverages). / restaurant).

Commodities that have contributed to inflation in July 2021 include cayenne pepper, preserved tuna, tuna/ambu-ambu fish, tomatoes, shallots, bananas, kale, wet prawns, color television, anchovies, white cabbage/cabbage, motorcycle tires, powder/liquid detergent soap, garlic, high school textbooks, tempeh, and filtered kretek cigarettes.

Of the 90 CPI cities, 61 cities experienced inflation and 29 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Sorong (West Papua) as high as 1.51 percent while the lowest inflation was recorded in Sampit (Central Kalimantan) as high as 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the deepest deflation was recorded in Manokwari (West Papua) as deep as 0.60 percent, while the shallowest deflation was recorded in two cities, namely Maumere (East Nusa Tenggara) and Samarinda (East Kalimantan) each of 0.01 percent. If sorted from the highest inflation, Singaraja ranks 31st out of 61 cities experiencing inflation.
