Area of Rice Harvest and Production in Bali 2020 (Fixed Figures)

The rice harvested area in 2020 was 90,981 hectares, a decrease of 4,339 hectares or 4.55 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 95,319 hectares.

Rice production in 2020 amounted to 532,168 tons of milled dry unhulled rice (GKG), a decrease of 47,152 tons or 8.14 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 579,321 tons of GKG.

When viewed from the subround, there was a decrease in rice production in the January-April and May-August 2020 subrounds, namely 44,566 tons of GKG (24.38 percent) and 3,833 tons of GKG (1.84 percent) respectively compared to 2019. The increase only occurred on the September-December subround, which amounted to 1,247 tons of GKG (0.66 percent).

If converted into rice for the population's food consumption, rice production in 2020 will amount to 298,573 tons, a decrease of 26,455 tons or 8.14 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 325,028 tons.

The potential for rice production in the January-April 2021 subround is estimated at 253,780 tons of GKG, an increase of 115,572 tons or 83.62 percent compared to the same subround in 2020 which amounted to 138,208 tons of GKG.
