Abstract
In December 2019, the Bali Province Farmers Exchange Index (NTP) rose as high as 0.55 percent, from 104.35 in November 2019, to 104.93. In terms of the index received by farmers (It) recorded an increase of 1.08 percent while the index paid by farmers (Ib) recorded a lower increase, namely 0.52 percent.
The increase in the NTP index in December 2019 was mainly due to the rise in the composition of the NTP subsector, including the index of the smallholder estate crop which rose 2.36 percent, horticultural crops rose 0.54 percent, and livestock rose 0.10 percent. Meanwhile, the food crops and fisheries sub-sector was recorded to be a subsector that was holding the pace of increase, each falling as deep as -0.25 percent and -0.50 percent.
In calculating the rural consumer price index (inflation), in December 2019, Bali Province recorded inflation as high as 0.71 percent, in line with the movement of rural inflation nationally, namely inflation as high as 0.28 percent.
From 33 provinces observing the calculation of the household consumption index of farmers (rural) in December 2019, 19 provinces recorded inflation and 14 provinces recorded deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in East Java Province (1.06 percent) and the lowest in Riau Province (0.04 percent). Meanwhile, the deepest deflation was recorded in Gorontalo Province (-3.30 percent) and the shallowest in Lampung Province (-0.03 percent).
