In July 2019 the city of Singaraja recorded inflation of 1.03 percent with the Consumer Price Index (2012 CPI = 100) of 145.60. The inflation rate for the calendar year was 2.33 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2019 against July 2018 or YoY) was 2.73 percent.

Inflation (m to m) is indicated by an increase in the index in four expenditure groups, namely group I (foodstuffs) by 3.26 percent; group II (processed food, drinks, cigarettes and tobacco) by 0.94 percent; group IV (clothing) by 0.32 percent and group V (health) by 0.13 percent. While the group recorded a decline in index or deflation was group III (housing, water, electricity and fuel) as deep as -0.31 percent and group VII (transportation, communication and financial services) as deep as -0.12 percent. For group VI (education, recreation, and sports) there is no change in the index but in the subgroup there are those who experience inflation and deflation.

Commodities recorded as contributing or contributing to inflation in July 2019 include: cayenne pepper, bananas, filter clove cigarettes, tariffs for drinking water, snacks / snacks, apples, stones, red chili and instant dry noodles.

Out of 82 CPI cities, 55 cities experienced inflation and 27 cities experienced deflation. The deepest deflation recorded in Tual (Maluku) was -1.55 percent and the lowest recorded in Gorontalo (Gorontalo) was -0.02. If sorted from the highest inflation, Singaraja ranks 4th out of 55 cities experiencing inflation
