Abstract

In August 2016 in Denpasar an inflation of 0.45 percent with a price index Consumers (CPI) amounted to 121.83. The cumulative inflation rate (from January to August, 2016) of 1.88 percent and inflation year-on-year (August 2016 to August 2015) amounted to 2.46 percent.
Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in six types of expenses, education, recreation and sports amounted to 2.81 percent; group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.76 percent; clothing group of 0.43 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.31 per cent; group health by 0.30 percent; and foodstuff by 0.22 percent. While transport, communications, and financial services experienced a deflation of 0.72 percent.
The core components / core in August 2016 contributed to inflation by 0.41 percent; component of regulated prices governmental / administrative contributed deflation of 0.01 percent; as well as components volatile / volatile contributed to inflation by 0.05 percent.
