Abstract

In December 2015 in Denpasar an inflation of 0.95 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 119.58. The cumulative inflation rate and inflation year-on-year (December 2015 to December 2014) amounted to 2.70 percent.
Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index on six groups of expenditure that foodstuff by 2.72 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 1.26 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.71 percent; health group 0.27 percent; transport, communications, and financial services by 0.16 percent; as well as education, recreation and sport 0.03 percent. While the clothing group experienced a deflation of 0.24 percent.
