EXPORT
In December 2023, the value of Bali Province's exports of goods abroad was recorded to have decreased by 15.20 percent month to month (m-t-m), from US$ 55,928,966 in November 2023 to US$ 47,426,169 in December 2023. When compared with December 2022 year on year (y-o-y), Bali's export value in December 2023 was recorded to have decreased by 15.53 percent.
Of the top 5 export destination countries for Bali in December 2023, the value of exports to Australia was recorded to have decreased by 32.85 percent (m-t-m). This decline was mainly due to the decline in exports of precious metal products and jewelry/gems (HS 71).
The cumulative export value in the January-December 2023 period was recorded at US$ 581,022,972, down 5.83 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
IMPORT
In line with exports, Bali Province's import performance in December 2023 showed a decline. The value of Bali Province imports of goods from abroad in December 2023 was recorded at US$ 9,641,172, down 7.13 percent compared to November 2023 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US$ 10,381,636. On a year-on-year basis, the import value of Bali Province in December 2023 was recorded to have increased by 17.86 percent.
Of the top 5 countries of import origin in December 2023, the value of imports from Hong Kong recorded the deepest decline month to month, namely 13.97 percent, which was mainly caused by the decline in imports of clothing and accessories (not knitted) (HS 62).
Cumulatively, the import value in the January-December 2023 period was recorded at US$ 122,068,302, an increase of 47.61 percent compared to the previous year's period.
