Abstract

The total workforce in February 2023 was recorded at 2.73 million people, an increase of 43.79 thousand people compared to February 2022. In line with the increase in the number of labor force, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also increased by 0.05 percentage points to 77, 19% in February 2023.

In February 2023, there were 2.62 million people aged 15 and over who worked, an increase of 71.75 thousand people compared to conditions in February 2022. The jobs that experienced the largest increase in the number of workers compared to February 2022 were the provision of accommodation and food and drink which increased by 87.28 thousand people. While the business sector with the biggest decline was Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, which decreased by 96.21 thousand people.

As many as 1.19 million people (45.50%) work in formal activities, an increase of 4.39 percentage points compared to February 2022.

Compared to February 2022, the underemployment rate in February 2023 fell by 3.99 percentage points to 2.58%, while the percentage of part-time workers fell by 1.36 percentage points to 26.07%.

The February 2023 Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 3.73%, down 1.11 percentage points compared to February 2022. However, the TPT was still higher than Bali's TPT before the Covid-19 pandemic in February 2020 which was recorded at 1.25%.

There were 110.72 thousand people (3.13%) of the working age population affected by COVID-19 in Bali Province in February 2023, consisting of the unemployed due to COVID-19 (4.73 thousand people), Not the Labor Force (BAK) due to COVID-19 (7.74 thousand people) and working residents who experienced reduced working hours due to COVID-19 (98.26 thousand people).
