Farmer Terms of Trade Overview of Bali Province August 2022

Farmer Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

The Bali Province NTP Index in August 2022 was recorded at 96.38, an increase of 0.35 percent compared to the previous month. The increase in the NTP index was caused by the Price Received by Farmers Index (It) which fell by -0.60 percent, lower than the Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which fell by -0.94 percent.

Nationally, the NTP index was recorded at 106.31, up 1.97 percent compared to the previous month. In August 2022, the Riau Province's NTP Index recorded the highest increase in FTT, at 12.63 percent. On the other hand, the NTP of the Riau Islands Province recorded the deepest decline, by -1.34 percent.

The Household Consumption Index (IKRT) of Bali Province in August 2022 was 112.58 or decreased by -1.39 percent compared to the previous month. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Bali Province in July 2022 was 96.97 or decreased by -0.74 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
