In November 2021 Denpasar City recorded inflation as high as 0.71 percent as indicated by an increase in the Consumer Price Index (base year 2018=100) from 104.79 (2018=100) in October 2021 to 105.53 in November 2021. Meanwhile , the calendar year inflation rate (year to date / ytd) and the year to year inflation rate (November 2021 to November 2020 or YoY) were recorded as high as 1.26 percent and 1.88 percent, respectively.
Of the eleven expenditure groups, seven expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely: group IV (equipment, equipment, and routine household maintenance) as high as 3.76 percent; group XI (personal care and other services) as high as 1.24 percent; group VI (transportation) as high as 1.15 percent; group I (food, beverages, and tobacco) as high as 0.90 percent; group V (health) as high as 0.03 percent; group III (housing, water, electricity, and household fuel) as high as 0.02 percent; and group X (providing food and beverages/restaurants) as high as 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, two other expenditure groups experienced deflation, namely: group VIII (recreation, sports, and culture) at 0.07 percent and group II (clothing and footwear) at 0.06 percent. Two other groups recorded no change in index or stagnant, namely group VII (information, communication, and financial services) and group IX (education).
Of the 90 CPI cities, 84 cities experienced inflation and 6 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Sintang City (West Kalimantan) as high as 2.01 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded in Bima City (West Nusa Tenggara) and Pontianak City (West Kalimantan) each as high as 0.02 percent. If sorted from the highest inflation, Denpasar City ranks 12th out of 84 cities experiencing inflation.
