EXPORT
In May 2021, the value of Bali Province's exports of goods abroad was recorded to have decreased by 13.98 percent (mtm), from US$ 44,393,681 in April 2021 to US$ 38,188,098 in May 2021. When compared to May 2020 (yoy), Bali's export value in May 2021 actually rose 47.35 percent.
Of the top 5 export destination countries for Bali in May 2021, the value of exports to China was recorded to have fallen the most month-to-month to 33.37 percent. This decrease was mainly due to the decline in exports of fish and shrimp products (HS 03).
The cumulative export value in the January-May 2021 period was recorded at US$ 205,207,156, up 5.91 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
IMPORT
In line with Bali's exports, the import performance of Bali Province in May 2021 also showed a decline. The value of imported goods from Bali Province from abroad in May 2021 was recorded at US$ 2,408,285, down 24.81 percent compared to April 2021 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US$ 3,203,068. On a year on year basis, the import value of Bali Province in May 2021 was recorded to have decreased by 3.34 percent.
Of the top 5 import origin countries in May 2021, the value of imports from the United States recorded the deepest decline of up to 36.46 percent month to month, which was mainly due to the decline in imports of machinery and mechanical equipment (HS 84).
Cumulatively, the import value in the January-May 2021 period was recorded at US$ 19,344,008, down 65.71 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
