Abstract
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, GRDP is still calculated using the same method, by making several adjustments in the way data is collected. Even though it is not easier than normal conditions, every effort has been made to ensure that all statistical rules underlying the data collection process are to maintain the quality of the data obtained.
The total economy of Bali in 2020 as measured by GDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) at the current price (ADHB) was recorded at IDR 224.21 trillion. Or if measured on the basis of constant prices (ADHK) in 2010, the GRDP of Bali was recorded at IDR 147.55 trillion.
With these achievements, the Balinese economy in the fourth quarter of 2020 was recorded to have grown by 0.94 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). The Balinese economy continued to grow from the previous quarter amid the pressure of the COVID-19 pandemic which was still hitting the fourth quarter of 2020.
Meanwhile, when compared with the same period the previous year (y-on-y), the Balinese economy in the fourth quarter of 2020 recorded negative growth of -12.21 percent.
From the production side, the economic structure of Bali in 2020 is still dominated by Category I (Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink) which recorded a contribution of 18.37 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the largest contribution was recorded in the Household Consumption Component, namely 54.06 percent.
