Abstract
The main pattern of trade distribution for the four main commodities (rice, red chilies, shallots and chicken meat) in Bali Province in 2019 averaged two to four distribution chains.
a. Rice: producers → distributors → wholesalers → retailers → end consumers.
b. Red Chili: producers → retailers → end consumers.
c. Shallots: producers → wholesalers → wholesalers → retailers → end consumers.
d. Pureed Chicken: producers → distributors → end consumers.
The main pattern of the longest trade distribution (4 distribution chains) occurs in rice and shallot commodities. Meanwhile, red chilli peppers and broiler chicken meat only go through 2 distribution chains.
The largest trade and transportation (MPP) margin in 2019 occurred in the shallot commodity, reaching 25.68 percent, which means that the increase in the price of shallots from producers to end consumers was recorded at 25.68 percent. Meanwhile, the lowest MPP occurred for rice, reaching 16.06 percent, which means that the increase in rice prices from producers to end consumers was recorded at 16.06 percent.
