Abstract

The Bali Province NTP index in October 2020 was recorded to have decreased by -0.35 percent, from 93.16 in September 2020 to 92.83. The index received by farmers (It) was recorded to have decreased by -0.33 percent, while the index paid by farmers (Ib) was recorded to have increased, namely 0.02 percent.


The NTP index in October 2020 was recorded to decline in three sub-sectors. The decline was recorded in the livestock sub-sector which fell -1.20 percent, the smallholder plantation sub-sector fell -0.94 percent, and the fisheries sub-sector fell -0.08 percent. On the other hand, the NTP in the sub-sectors that recorded an increase were the food crops sub-sector (up 0.60 percent) and the horticulture sub-sector (up 0.06 percent).


The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate Index (NTUP) of Bali Province in October 2020 was recorded at 92.73, down by -0.50 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 93.20.


Judging from the sub-sector, the NTUP Index in October 2020 was recorded to have decreased in almost all sub-sectors except for the food crops sub-sector (up 0.50 percent). The NTUP sub-sector that was recorded to have dropped the most, was the livestock sub-sector (down -1.34 percent), followed by the smallholder plantation sub-sector (down -1.15 percent), the fisheries sub-sector (down -0.19 percent) and the horticulture sub-sector (down -0.17 percent).


In October 2020, Bali Province experienced rural deflation of -0.05 percent. This condition is in a different direction from the national rural inflation record, which recorded inflation, as high as 0.24 percent. Of all provinces in which rural inflation was observed, the highest inflation was recorded in West Sumatra with 0.95 percent, and the deepest deflation was recorded in Southeast Sulawesi at -0.71 percent.
