Abstract

Bali Province NTP Index in May 2020 was recorded down as deep as -1.33 percent, from 94.81 in April 2020 to 93.54. In terms of the index received by farmers (It) was recorded down -1.78 percent, deeper than the decline in the index paid by farmers (Ib) which fell as deep as -0.45 percent.


The decline in the NTP index in May 2020 was recorded in almost all subsectors. The deepest decrease was recorded in the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (-3.06 percent), followed by the horticulture sub-sector (-2.33 percent), the food crops sub-sector (-1.01 percent) and the livestock subsector (-0.10 percent). On the other hand, the fisheries subsector NTP was the only sector that experienced an increase, recorded as high as 0.15 percent.


The Bali Province Agricultural Business Exchange Index (NTUP) in May 2020 was 93.78, down as deep as -1.93 percent compared to the previous month which was 95.63.


In terms of its subsector, the deepest decline in the NTUP index was recorded in the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (-3.79 percent), followed by the horticulture sub-sector (-2.91 percent), the food crops subsector (-1.76 percent), the livestock subsector (-0 , 45 percent) and fisheries subsector (-0.14 percent).


In May 2020, the province of Bali experienced a rural deflation of -0.69 percent. This is in line with the record of rural inflation nationally recorded deflation, as deep as -0.07 percent. The deepest deflation was recorded in North Sulawesi Province (-1.47 percent) and the lowest in South Sumatra Province (-0.001 percent). Meanwhile, the highest inflation was recorded in Bangka Belitung Province (0.98 percent), while the lowest inflation was recorded in West Java Province with a magnitude of 0.07 percent.
