Abstract
The Farmers Exchange Rate Index (NTP) of Bali Province in January 2019 was recorded to have decreased by 0.21 percent, from 103.87 in December 2018, to 103.65. In terms of the index received by farmers (It), there was an increase of 0.12 percent, while the index paid by farmers (Ib), recorded a greater increase of 0.33 percent.
The largest decline in the NTP index in January 2019 was recorded in the horticulture sub-sector by 1.81 percent, followed by the fisheries subsector 1.60 percent, livestock subsector, 0.48 percent, and food crops 0.19. On the contrary, the NTP index of the smallholder plantation subsector recorded an increase of 2.29 percent.
In January 2019, Bali Province experienced rural inflation of 0.29 percent. While nationally, rural inflation was recorded at 0.26 percent.
Of the 33 provinces of rural inflation in January 2019, 8 provinces experienced deflation and 25 provinces recorded inflation. The deepest deflation was recorded in Gorontalo Province (0.61 percent) and was undermined in DKI Jakarta (0.05 percent). Meanwhile, the highest inflation was recorded in the Province of South Kalimantan (1.02 percent), and the lowest was recorded in Yogyakarta Province (0.02 percent).
