Development of Bali Province Air and Sea Transportation December 2018

December 2018, the number of departures of international airplanes from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport was recorded at 3,081 units of flights or increased by 6.02 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 2,906 units. The number of passengers on international flights in the same period (m to m) increased by an increase of 3.03 percent, from 480,326 people in November 2018 to 494,898 people in December 2018. This is inversely proportional to the increase in the number of aircraft departures and passengers, baggage and international air freight goods decreased (m to m) by -5.27 percent, from 12.23 million tons to 11.59 million tons.

For domestic air transport, the number of aircraft departing from I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in December 2018 was 3,833 flight units, up 4.21 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 3,678 flight units. The number of passengers was recorded at 475,930 people, up by 7.96 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 440,835 people. The amount of baggage and goods also increased by 9.04 percent, from 6.58 million tons in November 2018 to 7.17 million tons in December 2018 (m to m).

For sea transportation, the number of ships departing from several ports in Bali Province in December 2018 was 2,195 units, or increased by 3.29 percent from the previous month (m to m), which recorded 2,125 units. The number of ship passengers in December 2018 was 287,440 people. This number rose 6.47 percent compared to the previous month (m to m) which reached 269,985 people. A similar condition was shown by freight transportation in the same period which was recorded at 17,919 tons, an increase of 19.02 percent compared to the previous month (m to m), which was recorded at 15,056 tons.
