RICE PRODUCTION IN 2015 (PROVISIONAL FIGURES) DOWN 0.49 PERCENT

Abstract

Preliminary figures (ASEM) in Bali rice production in 2015 decreased by 4,234 tons of dry unhusked rice (GKG), down 0.49 percent compared to 2014. This decrease occurs only in subround I (January to April) amounted to 59 696 tonnes of paddy (20.09 percent).

In contrast, rice production in subround II (May-August) in fact an increase of 44 523 tonnes of paddy (17.24 percent). Similarly subround III (September to December) an increase of 10 939 tonnes of paddy (3.62 percent).

B. CORN

Preliminary figures (ASEM) in Bali corn production for 2015 amounted to 40 603 tonnes of dry seed or down by 10 tons (0.02 percent) compared to 2014. This decline occurred at subround I (January to April) amounted to 3,748 tons of dry seed (11 , 40 percent) and subround II (May-August) amounted to 1,219 tons of dry seed (46.47 percent). In contrast, in subround III (September

- December) is precisely an increase of 4,957 tons of dry seed (97.08 percent).
