Abstract

In January 2015 in Denpasar an inflation of 0.49 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 120.16. The cumulative inflation rate and inflation year-on-year (January 2016 to January 2015) amounted to 3.27 percent.
Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in four groups, namely foodstuffs expenditure of 2.59 percent; clothing group by 2.11 percent; health group by 0.73 percent; as well as processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.27 percent. Expenditure groups contain inflation, namely transport, communication, and financial services; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel; as well as education, recreation, and sport deflation respectively by 0.80 percent, 0.22 percent; and 0.02 percent.
Components of core / core in January 2016 experienced inflation of 0.19 percent, the government regulated price component / administrative deflation of 0.17 percent; as well as the volatile component / volatile inflation of 0.47 percent.
