The Badung Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) held the 2026 ‘Beautiful Village’ Capacity-Building Programme and an awareness-raising session on financial literacy and inclusion in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village on Wednesday (8 July). The event was attended by representatives from the Bali Provincial BPS, the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), the Badung Regency Community and Village Empowerment Agency, the Bongkasa Pertiwi Village Administration, and various stakeholders. The programme included an opening ceremony, welcoming remarks, guidance, a presentation of the ‘Beautiful Village’ proposal, a session on financial literacy and inclusion, and a discussion and question-and-answer session.

Through this event, the BPS is strengthening its guidance for the ‘Desa Cantik’ programme to enhance the villages’ capacity in managing and utilising statistical data as a basis for targeted development. Meanwhile, the LPS provided education on the importance of financial literacy and inclusion to improve the public’s understanding of the financial system, thereby fostering village governance that is increasingly data-driven, transparent and sustainable.
